Job Summary
We are looking for an IT Engineer to be an integral part of our factory's operational support team. In this role, you will act as a primary point of contact for resolving IT issues reported by business departments. Your key responsibility will be to ensure the stability and efficiency of our manufacturing systems by providing timely support, monitoring issue resolution. Your expertise will be critical in minimizing disruptions and supporting continuous production
Key Responsibilities
- First-Line Support Issue Management: Provide prompt and effective first-line support for IT-related issues reported by business users, particularly those involving the SAP PP (Production Planning) module and JDA Planning system.
- Technical Analysis Troubleshooting: Utilize strong analytical skills to diagnose problems. This includes performing SAP ABAP debugging to identify root causes of issues in SAP programs and writing efficient SQL queries to extract and analyze data for troubleshooting and validation purposes in JDA Planning system.
- Collaboration Bug Reporting: Work closely with BASD development team,clearly document and report software bugs, providing necessary technical details to facilitate fixes.
- Documentation Knowledge Sharing: Maintain accurate records of issues, resolutions, and workarounds. Contribute to the knowledge base and create user guides to improve future support efficiency
- System Monitoring Improvement: Proactively monitor system performance and participate in initiatives to enhance the stability and functionality of IT systems supporting manufacturing.
- Follow SLA (Service Level Agreement) standards for incident response and resolution.
- Support night shifts or on-call duty as required (7*24 critical system support).
Required
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience in supporting SAP systems, with a strong focus on the Production Planning (PP) module. Understanding of manufacturing processes related to Master Data, Bill of Materials (BOM), Routings, and Production Orders is necessary.
- Proven ability to perform ABAP debugging to analyze and troubleshoot program errors.
- Strong skill in SQL for data querying, manipulation, and analysis, familiar with SQL server or Oracle database.
- Familiar with IT solutions in Factory Planning and inventory management;
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication skills in English (both verbal and written), with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users and collaborate effectively with global teams.
Preferred
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) principles and ticketing systems.
- Knowledge of integrated SAP modules like MM (Materials Management) or QM (Quality Management) , and knowledge in VMI (vendor managed inventory) is a plus.
- SAP certification in PP or a related area.
