eero is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented QA Engineer intern to join our team and work on embedded firmware testing projects that help keep our platform running smoothly. In this role, you will support the QA team in validating software releases and ensuring an excellent customer experience.
You will work closely with cross-functional development teams to help identify, reproduce, and debug issues. This is a great opportunity for recent graduates to gain hands-on experience with embedded systems, networking, and test automation, while growing their technical and problem-solving skills in a collaborative environment.



Key job responsibilities


• Perform black-box and gray-box testing on embedded software (drivers and user space)
• Support software validation across setupbot, OTA rack, reboot, and stress test environments
• Assist with new hardware bring-up testing and validation
• Develop ad hoc tests to support engineering debugging and issue reproduction
• Write and execute test plans to improve test coverage and product quality
• Report, track, and verify bugs using JIRA with clear and detailed documentation
• Collaborate with distributed development and QA teams
• Contribute to and learn our Python-based automation framework to expand test coverage
• Leverage AI-driven tools to assist with debugging, troubleshooting, and test automation
• Prepare, maintain, and manage test beds and hardware
• May travel domestically or internationally to supplier sites as needed to support project schedules
• Can work 5 days per week during summer holiday for at least 3 months duration
• Willing to work in Taipei

Basic Qualifications

- Speak, write, and read fluently in Mandarin
- Enrolled in Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Basic working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments
- Fundamental understanding of networking concepts and protocols (e.g., IPv4, IPv6, TCP, UDP, DHCP)
- Basic knowledge of wireless networking technologies (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be)
- Ability and willingness to use AI-powered tools to assist with testing, automation, debugging, and troubleshooting
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a QA/testing team

Preferred Qualifications

- Basic understanding of embedded systems architecture
- Familiarity with consumer electronics hardware concepts
- Ability to read and understand circuit diagrams or mechanical drawings (basic level acceptable)
- Exposure to electronic components, design validation, or qualification (coursework or projects)
- Good written and verbal communication skills in Chinese and English
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking ability
- Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn
- Willingness to take on technical challenges and responsibility
- Internship experience, academic projects, or lab experience related to QA, embedded systems, or networking is a plus
