About the role
We’re looking for a creatively-driven, detail-obsessed Email and Web Designer who thrives on owning the full end-to-end process, from concept to build.
You’ll design and develop high-converting emails, landing pages, and digital experiences that bring Cleo’s bold brand to life across our growth and lifecycle campaigns.
This is a hybrid role within our fast-paced creative studio, perfect for someone who’s equal parts strategic designer and hands-on front-end builder, with email and landing page design as your core focus, and the flexibility to support wider creative needs as they arise.

Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end design of high-impact emails, landing pages, campaign microsites, and other digital experiences - from initial concept and layout through to final delivery, collaborating closely with developers to ensure creative integrity and performance across platforms (basic technical fluency a plus).
- Design-first mindset: you’ll own the creative direction for each brief, not rely on others to do the design thinking. You’re expected to take a blank canvas and craft smart, bold, brand-aligned work that drives results.
- Create strategically structured and visually distinctive landing pages and emails - whether it’s a scrappy test or a flagship campaign, whilst ensuring they’re always grounded in performance goals.
- Build and maintain scalable, modular design systems for CRM and web, enabling rapid iteration and consistent execution across touchpoints.
- Use data and insight to inform design decisions - refining layout, UX, and visual hierarchy to drive engagement and conversion.
- Collaborate with engineers, copywriters, and brand designers to ensure a cohesive experience - but you’ll always own the visual direction and execution.
- Support wider creative studio needs when required, including digital and brand-related briefs - with email and landing page design as your core priority.
- Take responsibility for your own timelines and workload, contributing proactively to a high-performing, creatively ambitious team.

What We're Looking For
- 3–5 years of end-to-end design experience across email and web, ideally within a fast-paced tech company or consumer brand.
- A strong portfolio showcasing both the visual craft and strategic thinking behind high-impact emails, landing pages, and digital campaigns.
- Figma first: you’re fluent in layout, prototyping, and component libraries, and comfortable using Adobe Creative Suite where needed.
- An understanding of HTML/CSS, including email best practices, responsive web builds, and browser compatibility.
- Experience building and testing pages in tools like Webflow, Framer, HubSpot or via custom code; JavaScript or headless CMS exposure a bonus.
- Familiarity with email platforms like Customer.io and Beefree (or similar).
- Solid grasp of UX/UI principles, performance funnels, and responsive, mobile-first design, and an understanding of accessibility best practices.
- Loves partnering with copywriters and thinking holistically about message, flow, and interaction - not just visuals.
- Brings a brand-led approach to performance design, with an eye for what makes a page both beautiful and effective.
- Fast, thoughtful, opinionated, and confident in explaining and defending your design decisions with clarity and balance.
- Bonus points if you have experience with animation, CMS integrations, or CRO tools like Hotjar, VWO, or Optimizely.

Compensation range
- United States: $84,000 - $103,000 gross annually*
- Other locations: Compensation will be discussed during the interview process
*Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, skills, and previous experience
