Introduction to the job
We are looking for experienced metrology engineers who are able to support the assembly of the scanners of one of our DUV-systems that will be produced in this factory. The support is needed to meet the output and quality requirements for this DUV-scanner.
The vision is to achieve a more scalable, competitive and closer-to-the customer manufacturing capability in Taiwan.
You will work in a team of approximately 50 fte (projected to grow further) of multiple competences. You will work closely together with the manufacturing team (~70 fte), and Supplier Quality Engineers (~15 fte). This team is part of the D&E Field organization with an overarching mission to increase intimacy with our customer and ASML operations (Customer Support, Repair & Re-use, Manufacturing and Strategic Sourcing and Procurement).
This position is open to local hires as well as Long Term assignees within ASML.
You will spend ~ six months in the Netherlands for training purposes in 2026.
Roles and responsibilities
To build the manufacturing capability at New Taipei Campus we need metrology engineers who will:
- Support the scanner setup in factory and first customer introduction with high end troubleshooting capability.
- Help local factory engineers to clarify if scanners issues are soft- or hardware related.
- Assist fast troubleshooting and unblocking of scanner shipment.
- Coordinate possible fast fix software changes fast fix in Taiwan and/or synchronize SW change with Veldhoven.
- Synchronize with software team on fix required and help testing implemented fix.
- On a need-to-know-basis, provide knowledge sharing sessions to local Customer Support.
- Communicate and synchronize with engineers & architects from other disciplines (electrical, mechatronics, physics, optics).
Education and experience
You have an inherent motivation for hands-on technical support and metrology experience supported by a bachelor or master's in physics, mathematics, or related disciplines.
And
≥ 2 years of experience in a metrology design engineer role.
Plus is a (relatable) hands-on experience with scanner introduction and troubleshooting metrology issues.
