Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of security solutions, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint protection.
Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address security risks.
Monitor and analyze security alerts generated by system logs, SIEM tools, and other monitoring platforms.
Support incident response efforts by investigating, documenting, and mitigating potential threats.
Perform research on emerging cyber threats, attack vectors, and security technologies, and present findings to the team.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security best practices are integrated into software development, IT infrastructure, and business processes.
Assist in the development and documentation of security policies, procedures, and training materials.
Participate in security audits and compliance testing to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Work on special projects, such as improving automation in threat detection or implementing new security features.

Qualifications
Current enrollment in a Bachelorโs or Masterโs degree program in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Must not require sponsorship to work in the US, now or in the future

Technical Skills:
Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts, such as encryption, authentication, and network security.
Familiarity with tools such as Wireshark, Nessus, Kali Linux, Metasploit or equivalents
Experience with programming/scripting languages like Python, Java, or Bash is a plus.
Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, etc.).
Any relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP) are a bonus but not required.
