The People Science & Analytics team at Roblox supports our People, Places, & Systems group in optimizing the talent lifecycle, including talent identification, data-driven competency development, and the scientific management of learning, development, and well-being across the employee experience. We apply behavioral science and rigorous research methods to shape people strategies and partner closely with internal technical teams to evaluate and guide the use of emerging technologies, including AI and large language models, in our people processes.
Our team delivers a wide range of insights and solutions, from developing industry-leading assessments and conducting job analyses to performing workforce research and building analytics tools. Reporting to the People Scientist Manager, you will join a collaborative team of scientists and data experts contributing to projects that help us understand work, design effective programs, and improve the employee experience.
You will support the teamโs research and applied science efforts by helping to collect, organize, and interpret data that informs hiring, development, performance, and culture. Whether assisting with a job analysis, organizing feedback data, summarizing research findings, or supporting a validation study, your work will ensure our People programs are grounded in evidence and built for impact. This role is ideal for someone eager to begin their career in applied behavioral science, learn from experienced scientists, and contribute to meaningful projects that shape how work gets done at Roblox.

You Will:
- Contribute to applied research: Support projects focused on job analysis, assessment design, employee experience, and organizational effectiveness.
- Assist in data collection and preparation: Gather, organize, and clean data from surveys, interviews, and other sources to ensure high-quality research inputs.
- Support qualitative research activities: Help run or document interviews, focus groups, and think-aloud sessions; code and summarize open-ended responses using structured rubrics.
- Help evaluate and improve tools: Contribute to the review and validation of people-related tools and processes, including assessments, surveys, and pilot programs.
- Summarize research and evidence: Locate relevant academic or applied research, synthesize findings, and create concise summaries to support project design.
- Collaborate across teams: Partner with People Scientists, engineers, and data specialists to ensure research and program efforts are well-executed.
- Learn and grow: Build hands-on experience applying behavioral and social science in a dynamic, high-impact technology environment.
You Have:
- Required: Bachelorโs or Masterโs degree in Psychology, Behavioral or Social Science, Cognitive Science, Learning Science, Business, Human Resources, Economics, Sociology, or a related field emphasizing human behavior, decision-making, and organizations.
- Foundational knowledge of research design and analysis, with exposure to both qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Familiarity with topics such as job analysis, performance measurement, surveys, and program evaluation.
- Comfort working with data and spreadsheets, and curiosity about learning new tools and methods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in research and documentation.
- Clear, organized communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in team settings.
- Comfort working in dynamic, technology-driven environments and partnering with cross-functional teams.
