Programme Overview:
Scotiabank offers an exciting opportunity to support the European Technology team in its efforts to enhance security and resilience of its trading stack and related technologies commencing in June 2026.
This 10-week programme is designed for students in their penultimate year of study and focuses on developing a technology proof of concept focused on security which provides insights into how technology components are consumed by European End-Users.

What You Can Expect:
- Assist in the design and development of a security based POC.
- Collaborate with both local and global technology teams
- Support initiatives that improve security and resilience.
- Participate in testing and validation of the tool to ensure accuracy and reliability in production environments.
- Gain exposure to Front Office Trading Technology and understand how complex systems interact.
- Learn about configuration management, dependency analysis, and the role of technology in supporting trading operations.
- Work with experienced technologists on real-world challenges in a fast-paced environment.
- Complete an intern project assignment and present it to the wider team.

Programme Highlights:
Our internship is designed to give you real insight into life at Scotiabank. Alongside your day-to-day responsibilities, youβll take part in:
- A weekly speaker series with leaders from across the Bank
- Peer to peer intern presentations
- Social and networking events
- A CSR project that supports one of our charity partners

Who We're Looking For:
- You are a penultimate year undergraduate student graduating in 2027
- You are available for a 10-week internship between mid-June to end of August 2026
- You have a strong interest in technology, security and financial markets
- You have basic programming or scripting skills (e.g Python, SQL) preferred
- You have an analytical mindset with attention to detail and good communication skills
- You have the ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively
- Are comfortable handling large amounts of data and performing data analysis (familiar with analysis techniques is a benefit)
- You are eligible to work in Ireland
