Job Responsibilities:
The Cleanroom Training Associate II will be responsible for training current and new production associates on all aspects of assembling, inspecting and testing of high quality medical devices.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Train production associates to assemble plastic and metal components into medical devices in accordance with approved manufacturing procedures
- Train production associates how to perform in-process quality checks on subassemblies and finished product
- Train production associates how to utilize small hand tools, calibrated instruments, measurement equipment, microscopes, and test fixtures
- Participate in identifying training opportunities and brainstorming, creating and scheduling solutions
- Participate in Training Team meetings and line meetings as needed
- Routine assessments of production associates to ensure knowledge and adherence to procedures
- Tracking and monitoring of training matrix and pro-active scheduling of training
- Assist supervisors with identifying and removing training related roadblocks
- Maintain clean room integrity by using and training people to hygiene, gowning, and Good Manufacturing Practices
- Lead by example and adhere to general safety rules, manufacturing procedures, company policies and procedures, QSR, and FDA regulations
- Use and development of training methodologies such as Training Within Industry (TWI), scorecards and videos
- Ability to adapt training style to meet trainees needs
- Responsible for working with production engineers to proactively identify yield issues, provide analysis, educate and retrain to maintain team yields
- Assists in new product launches generating feedback for engineering
- Provide high level overview product build training to Abiomed employees and visitors
- Participate in the general onboarding training of new hires

Job Qualifications:
- Proven skill as a Abiomed line trainer
- Above average skill in a variety of Abiomed manufacturing processes
- Willingness to adapt and support a rapidly changing environment
- Have flexibility to work across shifts as needed (about 50% of time on each shift)
- Willingness to learn new manufacturing processes
- Self motivated and ability to work independently to achieve personal and organizational goals
- High School graduate or equivalent manufacturing experience required
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Ability to utilize basic math skills
- Execute tasks in a timely manner under general supervision.
- Computer literacy required, Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite desired
