The QA Engineer is a hands-on quality professional responsible for performing both manual and automated testing across multiple concurrent projectsβincluding core products, plugins, and toolchains. This role focuses on strong test execution, developing and maintaining automated tests, and collaborating closely with development and product teams to ensure high-quality releases.

The Specialist is involved throughout the development lifecycle, from preparation and planning through execution and final release, ensuring that quality is consistently embedded in every stage.

Key Responsibilities

- Execute manual and automated testing efforts across diverse product areas and project tracks
- Design, implement, and maintain test cases, test plans, and automated test scripts
- Perform root cause analysis and support developers during bugfix validation
- Triage defects and collaborate with engineering teams to drive timely resolution
- Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines
- Conduct exploratory, regression, usability, and acceptance testing
- Execute performance and scalability tests to validate system reliability under load
- Support QA activities across product, plugin, and toolchain development streams
- Collaborate with development, product, and DevOps teams to ensure sufficient test coverage and release readiness
- Participate in project planning, sprint activities, execution, and release phases
- Provide accurate time and effort estimates for assigned QA tasks
- Track and report key quality metrics, test coverage, and defect trends

Required Qualifications

- Strong hands-on experience in both manual and automated software testing
- Solid understanding of test design techniques, defect analysis, and debugging workflows
- Practical experience with automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript) for test automation
- Familiarity with performance testing frameworks (e.g., JMeter, k6)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Git)
- Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Strong analytical thinking and clear communication skills
