About the role - you will:
- Manage task/project that is assigned.
- Participate in QA activities and documentation.
- Work with senior developers on given project tasks.
- Present during periodic progress meetings where status and progress can be showcased.
- Participate in architecture and development activities and provide fresh views of today's technology.
About you:
- Build and extend Seagate’s MES services and APIs that include:
- Work with Kafka messaging platform to create application producer/consumer solutions.
- Work on Java based services and applications, application migrations, and adding JMX (Java Managment Extension) to existing Java based applications.
- Assist with various projects that convert from JSON to proprietary interfaces.
- Participate and contribute to the design of services and APIs.
- Assist with migrating applications to AWS.
- Assist with building and managing regression environments and testing.
Your experience includes:
- Minimally have intermediate knowledge with these development environments: VS Code, IntelliJ, NetBeans.
- Minimally have intermediate knowledge in these programming languages: Java, JavaScript, Python.
- At least novice knowledge with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- At least novice knowledge with shell scripting: Windows CMD, Linux bash/sh.
- At least novice knowledge with basics of microservices/APIs.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Fundamental knowledge of Kafka, Oracle, Postgres, AWS, basic ML/analytics.
