The Product Development Intern position at Thermo Fisher Scientific's Experience Design Center focuses on developing eco-friendly products. Work closely with senior engineers to integrate sustainability into product design, assess environmental impact, and help achieve net-zero emissions goals.

- Support various projects related to more sustainable product development
- Develop skills in collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Contribute to Thermo Fisher's and our customers' net zero commitments from concept to commercialization
How will you get here? (Knowledge/Skills)
- Completed coursework in Sustainability or Environmental Science
- Familiarity with instrumentation, consumables, and workflows used in academia, pharma, and biotech research laboratories
Start Date:
This internship is set to begin on either May 11th or June 15th, 2026 for a duration of 10-12 weeks (dependent upon student availability per academic calendars).
Education & Experience
- Rising junior or graduating senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Energized by championing change, driven in getting results, and savvy in navigating ambiguity.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a high degree of emotional intelligence.
To qualify, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and should not require sponsorship (current or future) for employment visa status.
