βWe are looking for an Electrical Design Engineering Co-op, Advanced Development to help us design and build prototypes for the next generation of products. Working as part of our Advanced Development team you will bring technical substance and inspiration to our creative efforts to ensure that imaginative but credible solutions populate our ambitious product roadmap.

- Support the development of novel concepts and technologies for our next generation of products.
- Help communicate ideas quickly and effectively using a combination of ECAD layout, simulation and breadboard circuits to evaluate potential solutions.
- Build test rigs in the lab while supporting the execution of verification and validation test plans.
- Inject energy, enthusiasm and creativity into everything you touch.
- Be naturally curious and relentlessly driven to find better solutions to everyday problems.

Key Attributes & Skills:
- Education: Current student in their third year or beyond of a bachelor's program, currently enrolled in a masterβs or doctoral program, or has graduated within the past year
- Must be able to come into the office 5 days per week.
- The ideal candidate will have completed 2+ years in an Electrical Engineering degree program
- A natural and effective communicator capable of reducing abstract concepts to reality.
- Able to quickly generate visual and physical definitions of new products that convey key attributes of function and layout.
- A thorough understanding of basic physical principles.
- Creativity and technical knowledge are crucial in this position
- Experience with one or more of the following: motor control, sensors, embedded micro controllers including Arduino, battery management, small signal amplifier circuits and switching power supplies.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point.
- Experience with general prototyping is a plus
- Some software/firmware experience is a plus
- Working knowledge of C/C++ with microcontrollers is a plus
