Responsibilities

- Build and evolve a hyper-scale distributed service.
- Participate in all stages of services lifecycle.
- Dive deep into global-scale service issues and drive improvements to resiliency, latency, and product reliability.
- Improvements the quality and stability of service fundamentals.
- Demonstrate strong customer empathy, curiosity and willingness to question and learn, and participation in live site on-call rotation.
Qualifications
Required:
- 2+ years of professional software engineering experience, using one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, C/C++, C#, Python, JavaScript.
- Ability to work as part of geo-distributed group.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Information Systems, Math or relevant engineering field Nice-To-Have (Not Required).
- Experience in running a highly distributed system.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
