IBM has openings for Hardware Development Engineers to develop, test and provide customer support for hardware, firmware and semiconductors that make up our industry leading IBM products. We are an elite team of engineering professionals that pioneer innovations for the cutting-edge microprocessors and hardware used in IBM infrastructure including IBM zSystems, IBM Power Systems, IBM Storage, and IBM Quantum Systems. Development engineers participate in various aspects of the development, test, and support process such as but not limited to:
Required education
High School Diploma/GED
Preferred education
Bachelor's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise
Preferred technical and professional experience
Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in: Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Optics Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related majors
Candidates with at least three to six months of team-based work experience with hardware products, basic knowledge or experience with programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or C++, are preferred but these are not required
