As a Purchases professional, your goal is to link the most appropriate supplier capabilities with our business needs and contribute to delivering the best shareholder return. Your everyday work will consist of technical, analytical, and commercial skills to source for P&G in Asia-Pacific. Your role as a Purchasing Manager will be accountable for various activities purchases - Sales, Marketing and Supply chain related for P&G Thailand. This role reports to Purchasing Director, Thailand.

Responsibilities of the role
- Analyzing market trends and supplier landscape
- Providing insights and recommendations to senior management and suppliers
- Leading and managing key internal and external relationships
- Spotting and exploiting emerging trends and technologies
- Uncovering business-building ideas and cost-saving opportunities
- Designing sourcing strategies that improves the value, availability and technology of the service
- Striking deals through negotiation or leading competitive bidding
- Building effective working relationships with suppliers
- Developing strategic choices & interventions to deliver value to the business
- Influencing shifts in external industries to drive competitive advantage for P&G
- Accountable for flawless and professional execution of strategies and timely resolution of issues
- Participating as a critical member of a cross-functional team to deliver a project
- Accountable for excellence in business results and compliance

Job Qualifications
Role Requirements
- Minimum Bachelorβs Degree
- 2 - 5 years of experience in FMCG, Tech company or e-commerce companies preferred, entry level candidates with a university degree in the relevant field can be considered.
- Proven experience in sourcing, procurement or trading will be a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, and be able to regularly engage/articulate in discussions within P&G and our suppliers
- Strong leadership skills to drive supplier negotiations, lead external discussions
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret insights from data
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills across geographies
- Ability to leverage external connections and regional/global networks to find opportunities that drive innovation and cost savings
- Understanding of stewardship, governance, and compliance
