Scope of Position
Summer engineering intern position to support the manufacturing and engineering of world-class, high-precision optical systems in Corning's Advanced Optics division. The summer intern will work with Corning Keeneβs coating design team to design and develop thin film deposition processes on assigned projects.

Requirements
- Pursuing a degree in a STEM field, including optics, material science, chemistry and physics.
- Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Must be available for 10 weeks during Summer 2026 (May-August 2026) with a graduation date of December 2026 or later
- Be interested in working for Corning, Inc after graduation, if presented with a full-time job opportunity.
- Be willing to work at the posted job location

Desired Skills
- Familiarity with optics and/or thin film coating technologies and metrology preferred.
