
Amazon is seeking for Reliability Maintenance & Engineering (RME) Technicians to join our Maintenance & Engineering team at our Delivery Station in Mulgrave, Melbourne.
Our Technicians are based on-site, so they can respond quickly to any machinery issues. You’ll carry out a range of planned preventative maintenance to our sites’ equipment to make sure it’s working safely. As an RME Technician, you’ll also respond promptly to breakdowns, investigating, finding, and implementing solutions as quickly as possible. You’ll also make suggestions for long-term improvements.
Working alongside senior colleagues, you’ll undertake day-to-day maintenance tasks general building maintenance.
Please note that the current shift pattern includes 10 hour shifts x 4 days, and working during weekends, and the expected start date is in January 2026
Key job responsibilities
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on the full range of equipment within
the site.
• Put health & safety best practices first in all work carried out.
• React quickly to breakdowns, communicate clearly with affected parties and work
efficiently to fix the issue.
• Support continuous improvement by learning from breakdowns and sending
feedback and suggestions for improvements through the line manager.
• Provide high levels of equipment availability to our internal customers.
- Formal Trade Qualifications: Certificate lll in Electrotechnology with current electrical trade license or Cert lll in Engineering OR Mechanical Trade (Fitter/Turner). Alternatively, equivalent trade qualifications formally recognised in Australia.
- Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems
- Experience fault finding within Material Handling Equipment/Automation systems
- Ability to read and understand electrical /mechanical drawings
- Experience of conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters
- Experience of working to appropriate health & safety standards and regulations
- Experience with CMMS systems
- Experience with sortation machines
- Experience with maintaining/configuring bar code scanners
- Experience with print and apply machines
