What you will do
As a Laboratory Technician Co-op, you will play a vital role in supporting our laboratory testing programs by preparing reagents and solutions, maintaining glassware, and ensuring the laboratory environment meets all regulatory standards. You will perform routine equipment verifications, assist with core testing in analytical and microbiology labs, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. By adhering to GMP, GDP, and GLP principles and engaging in safety programs, you will help maintain an efficient, compliant, and safe working environment. Your contributions will be essential in keeping our Quality Laboratories in an audit-ready state.
Key Responsibilities
- Support laboratory testing programs by organizing and preparing reagents and solutions, as well as perform general housekeeping duties to maintain the Quality Laboratories (analytical and microbiology) in an audit-ready state.
- Responsible for the maintenance of laboratory glassware.
- Perform daily verifications of laboratory equipment. You may perform basic core testing in the analytical or microbiology laboratories, as required.
- Implement continuous improvement projects and support updates to quality documentation, as required.
- Contribute to a safe working environment, which meets GMP/Health/Safety/Environmental regulations and Corporate Policies by following SOPs, participating in on-going training, and engaging in the EHS&S programs.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, GDP and GLP principles as well as internal solution and calibration test methods and specifications, and regulatory and corporate policies.
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program (active student)
- Eligible to complete an 8-month co-op term at our Kenvue, Guelph, manufacturing location. This assignment will take place from May 2026 to December 2026 and will be on-site
- Have availability to work on either first or second shift
- Proven ability to work independently without continuous feedback
- Strong organizational, documentation and communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred majors: Sciences - Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, Biochemistry, Biology or Biological Sciences, Chemical Engineering
- Someone who takes initiative, has a high level of attention to detail, and knows when to seek assistance will be successful in this role
- Previous experience in laboratory setting would be an asset
