Overview of role
We are looking for a Junior Trader/Analyst to be based in Singapore. Candidates with no relevant experience may be considered for a contract position with the opportunity for conversion to permanent.
- Be trained in and perform the duty of a trader and place orders when the main trader is not available.
- Prepare monthly reports (investment and ESG-related) for the management team and clients, including generation of monthly screens and other reporting tools.
- Conduct statistical analysis/back testing on data to identify winning trends, aid in stock selection and portfolio construction, and maintain database.
- Always be in compliance with internal compliance as well as laws applied to the industry.
Essential Skills
- Diploma/Degree graduate in Economics, Finance or Business
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Desire to work in a team-oriented environment
- Excellent reasoning, numerical and analytical ability
- Great presentation and communication skills
- Ability to work either independently, or with in-house analysts to draw investment ideas/conclusions
- Strong excel skills, comfortable with platforms such as Bloomberg, Barra etc
- Basic programming skills (SQL, python etc) will be an added advantage
