We’re looking for an Investment Banking Associate to:



• take responsibility for transaction execution workstreams across M&A and capital markets transactions, including deal documentation preparation;
• develop pitch book presentations to explain industry trends, discuss client options and recommend strategies to meet client goals;
• generate new ideas and creative approaches that push the business forward;
• identify and meet client needs, coordinating and working alongside senior colleagues and investors;
• create and analyze financial models for complex transactions;
• build and maintain client relationships to expand your network;
• spot problems, generate options and recommend solutions (you’re a contingency planner by nature); and
• manage and support the development of junior investment bankers.

Your team

You’ll be working in the Real Estate team in Sydney. Our team is responsible for covering the Real Estate sector in Australia and has recently been involved in some of the largest and most complex transactions in the sector. We closely work with product teams to provide our clients with innovative solutions and market leading capability across the entire investment banking spectrum.

You’ll play an important role in advising clients on a range of market and strategic matters, including origination and execution of M&A and capital markets transactions. UBS is widely regarded as the leading investment bank in Australia, and consistently maintains its position as the leading corporate advisor in domestic and cross-border transactions and also the leading capital markets business over the longer term

Your expertise

• ideally you have 3-5 years’ experience working in investment banking, preferably within the Real Estate sector;
• a well-rounded academic background from a top tier education institution;
• solid financial analysis skills, with the ability to produce accurate presentation material quickly;
• excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with colleagues and clients at all levels;
• driven and creative with exemplary integrity;
• experience assisting with client development; and
• good understanding and hands-on exposure to the Real Estate sector in Australia would be advantageous.
