Industrials Investment Banking Coverage
This position is a 1st or 2nd Year Associate role to join our Industrials Investment Banking coverage team. Our Industrials team advises on complex financial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financings, joint ventures, and financial investments. Key sub-sectors include Aerospace & Defense, Capital Goods, Chemicals, Forest Products & Packaging, Industrial Services, Metals, and Transportation & Logistics.
In this role, you will:
Help orchestrate strategic advisory and capital raising transactions. Associates assume significant responsibility that includes:
- Managing and developing client coverage materials
- Building financial models and supporting various financial analyses, including valuations and merger consequences
- Performing comprehensive and in-depth company and industry research
- Preparing presentations and other materials and memos for clients and internal committees
- Developing, training and supporting Analysts, and contributing to the overall growth and success of the team
- Collaborating and consulting with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Participating in client meetings, due diligence visits and other client interactions during which they gain exposure to key executives and senior bankers
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Investment Banking Program experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with coursework in financial accounting and corporate finance or an MBA
- 2+ years of relevant investment banking experience
- Strong financial modeling skills
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work collaboratively in a demanding, highly focused, deadline driven, fast paced team environment, with a sense of personal accountability and urgency for achieving results
Job Expectations:
- Ability to travel up to 10%
- Ability to work outside of regular business hours
- Starting salary is $175K - $200,000
- This position is subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background check. Internal transfers are subject to compliance with 17 CFR 240.17f-2 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and FINRA Bylaws, Article III, Section 3, which states that Associated Persons should not be subject to statutory disqualification. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and are required to report certain incidents.
