The student, as part of the technical marketing team and under the guidance of an assigned mentor, will participate in a project working on Infineon CoolSET products.
Job Description
In your new role you will:
- Setup system simulation environment for evaluating performance of test chip
- Perform actual tests on different Switch mode power supply (SMPS) boards using standard test equipment
- Analyze results to evaluate performance and determine need for adjustment
- Understand schematic drawings
- Adjust and replace circuitry and electronics components for further optimization, using tools and soldering iron.
- Write reports and record data from test cases (simulated or measured), if meeting specifications to assist engineers
Internship Learning Outcomes:
- Understand the Switched Mode Power Supply operation
- Develop system know-how on flyback topology and Auxillary power supply and have opportunity to work with experts on the relating field
- Understand team work as he will be working in a cross functional cross location team
- Read schematic drawings, and engineering instructions for assembling electronics units, applying knowledge of electronic theory and components
- Identify and resolve power board malfunctions
- Maintain working knowledge of state-of-the-art tools, software, etc., through reading or workshops or other training.
Your Profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- Experienced in soldering and laboratory measurements
- On track to attaining Diploma/Bachelors in Engineering related fields
- Lab view, Altrium, Microsoft Office
- Test electronics units, using standard test equipment, and analyze results to evaluate performance and determine need for adjustment.
