Your Responsibilities and Tasks

‍

Deliver a proposal and proof of concept for improved of project tooling for financial planning & tracking, together with critical path tracking. The objective of this internship is to study existing tooling and processes used by different organizations contributing to program execution. And research best in class solutions to find and propose clear opportunities for improvement and harmonization – of tools & applications, project data, financial parameters, reporting KPIs, configuration management, etc. The second phase of the internship shall involve implementation of a proof of concept implementation of the generated proposal that shall be evaluated and finally deployed as standard practice. Parallel to above, the internship involves close working together with program & project leadership to get deep insight into the schedule progress, using the available data from individual teams.

Scope of Work

‍

• Research & Tooling:

Investigate project & financial related tooling & KPIs used for forecasting, planning and tracking of projects. Generate requirements for an optimal solution for above. Investigate available solutions & map the requirements above to these, and perform a SWOT

‍

analysis on these Analyze with project management critical path for selected upcoming milestones

• Environment Design & Implementation:

Define a new system with tools, databases and related reporting for project & financial forecasting and tracking, covering data collection & mining as well as automation of analysis & reporting. Define (semi) automated setup for project schedule progress.

• Proof-of-Concept (PoC):

Develop and validate a PoC setup of harmonized project & financial analysis, realizing the targeted requirements for different organizations and users to easily exchange, analyze and report aligned KPIs, including project schedule progress

• Presentation & Knowledge Sharing:

Prepare and deliver a presentation(with demo) to the wider team summarizing key findings, methodology, PoC results, and recommendations. Design documentation and archiving of all source files for scripts and other environmental tooling worked upon, including user manual for others to use & build upon the generated setup.

Your Profile

‍

• Bachelor or Masters in Data Science/ Information Technology or related fields
• Detailed knowledge in database management, data mining, scripting
• Programming skills from one or more languages like
• Python, SQL, Java, C#/C++ is a must
• Basic understanding of project management concepts
• Optional familiarity of semiconductor design cycle
• Creative mindset with strong analytical foundation.
• Proactive attitude, with ability to work independently to cooperate with stakeholders
• across organizations for achieving the desired progress
• Working fluency in English

Duration

‍

This is a full-time internship (40 hours per week) with a duration of 6 months or longer. The assignment is also suitable as a thesis/graduation project. Please note that in order to be considered for an internship, you need to be registered as a student during the entire period.
