Your Job
- Working on exciting and varied topics focusing on risk underwriting in the core business of Munich Re (e.g. developing product and client strategies, performing risk analysis, using different pricing models, analysing profitability and performance, working on data analytics topics)
- Develop methods and processes for risk assessment and risk reporting, with emphasis on automated and efficient processes and tools
- Experience the opportunities and insights offered by one of the world's leading risk managers
- Participate in an international assignment of three months to broaden your intercultural experience
- Acquire profound knowledge of our business as well as further developing your soft skills in our distinguished global learning programme
- Take the opportunity to quickly build a broad network of industry experts within Munich Re worldwide
Your Profile
- Very good university degree in mathematics, actuarial sciences, statistics, computer science, physics or a similar degree with mathematical background
- Initial work experience (e.g. internships or up to two years of work experience after graduation), ideally in (re)insurance, the financial sector or actuarial services
- Knowledge of actuarial sciences and willingness to complete actuarial studies is an advantage
- Strong analytical skills, programming skills and/or database knowledge (e.g. Python, R, Databricks, SQL, Matlab, Power BI, VBA) are beneficial
- At least three months experience abroad (studies or internship/work experience abroad)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and willingness to learn
- Strong written and verbal communication in English and German required
- Curious and creative mindset
