The Internal Audit Function at Coinbase works to enhance and protect organizational value by providing independent, risk-based, objective assurance and advisory services designed to add value and improve the Company's operations. The Internal Audit Function helps Coinbase accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of governance, compliance, risk management, and control processes.
The Coinbase Internal Audit function is looking for interns to join the team. Individuals will be able to get hands-on experience supporting Compliance and Operational audits, while also helping shape the future of the department by supporting its Professional Practices Group. These roles are based in the UK or Luxembourg (Remote) and will be reporting to an Internal Audit Manager. Each individual will be responsible for learning and supporting all aspects of audits, including planning, testing and report writing. In addition, individuals will support the team with critical audit activities, such as validations of audit and regulatory findings, risk assessments and other audit relevant activities.

What youβll be doing (ie. job duties):
- Assist the team in exploring how new ideas and technology, like AI, can improve our audits and audit processes
- Support a variety of Compliance and Operational audits by conducting testing, documentation, and preparing findings
- Create accurate, logical and detailed work-papers clearly describing the work performed, testing results and conclusions for audit projects
- Develop, maintain, and validate IA process documentation with control/process owners
- Present findings and recommendations to IA leadership
- Use your problem-solving skills and attention to detail to contribute to team projects

Nice to haves:
- Currently pursuing a BA/BS degree
- Coursework or personal project related to AI or process automation
- Intermediate to advanced experience with data analytics or visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, SQL, Power BI, Python)
- Understanding of internal controls or risk management concepts
- Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated passion for and knowledge of the Crypto industry
