An Infrastructure Specialist: System Administration is responsible for providing 24/7 technical support for cloud-based solutions, ensuring seamless operations across various applications, DevOps, middleware, security, and infrastructure components.
They play a critical role in building & setting up new development tools, infrastructure, and Networking, maintaining and deploying the cloud applications.They also develop and configure infrastructure and configuration as code (Ansible and Terraform).
They ensure the systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats besides Identifying and fixing technical problems and installing software updates and βfixesβ.
They also support Installing and maintaining a logging cluster using Logstash, ElasticSearch and Kibana as a centralized solution to parse logs from application and docker containers.
Able to identify and resolve issues involving APIs, application services, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, microservices, containers, Kubernetes nodes, ICP management, middleware components, network, security, and infrastructure problems.
If unable to resolve an issue, they will escalate it to the appropriate support level. Β
They manage Application ID and provide cloud elasticity by auto-scaling resources based on business requirements.
Additionally, they ensure DR and manual redundancy failover capabilities.
Regular service management reports are provided to keep clients informed. Β

Required technical and professional expertise
Experienced in administration of Dev,Test & Production environments hosted on Windows, Linux and Unix servers.
Have strong knowledge of load balancing, CDN options provided by multiple cloud vendors (E.g. Load balancer and Application gateway in Azure).
Knowledgeable on installing and configuring MYSQL, MSSQL PostgreSQL and other databases.
Proficient in cloud application architecture and can perform initial analysis on incidents.
Familiar with ITIL processes and Integrated Service Level Management
