To develop technical understanding by working within a range of departments throughout placement
To provide support to the placement department under the guidance of experienced Engineers
Support departments with the delivery of designated departmental projects, which will vary depending on the current business and department needs
Liaise with personnel at parent company, to control and co-ordinate new valve builds from USA
Be involved in design and development of electrical equipment to meet the departmental needs, liaising with the Manufacturing Services staff when required to arrange fabrication
Produce and maintain relevant internal documentation to company standards, ensuring they are clear, concise and understandable for all users
Develop a network of contacts within the company which will enhance your understanding and effectiveness throughout the placement
Develop hydraulic understanding and expertise in order to answer technical questions on hydraulic products
Learn PLC, graphical based programming structures like LabVIEW and electrical equipment basic fault finding.
Participate in technical discussions at customer sites and premises as required
Undertake training opportunities as they arise to enhance learning and contribute to professional development
