Who you are
We’re looking for curious, motivated people who love solving problems and want to see how global business really works. You don’t need to know the ins and outs of transaction banking just yet – we’ll teach you. What matters most is your integrity and drive to take ownership of challenges and turn them into opportunities.
You could be a great fit if you’re:

- A relationship builder: You like connecting with people and building trust.
What you’ll do
You’ll join a team that helps clients trade around the world by providing working capital and risk management solutions. From deals in motion to the detail behind the paperwork, you’ll see how international trade happens in practice.
Here’s a taste of what you’ll get involved in:
- Gaining a broad view of Global Trade Solutions – trade cycles, payments, documentation, and risks.
- Watching deals come to life from start to finish, and learning how teams make them happen.
- Helping manage risk by using tools to identify and overcome operational and reputational issues.
- Supporting the operations that underpins global trade, like Letters of Credit.
- Analysing data in Excel, helping to design pitch materials and reports.
- Preparing and maintaining records of trade transactions, timelines, and currency movements.
- Assisting with compliance checks, including sanctions screenings and anti-money laundering (AML).
- Supporting senior colleagues with trade documentation and reporting.
What you’ll learn
We’ll give you the technical knowledge, practical experience, and professional skills you need to understand transaction banking and make an impact.
Here’s what’s in store:
- On-the-ground experience – join a dedicated team focused on either Sales or Product.
- Expert-led training – one week of structured training to sharpen your skills.
- Stakeholder engagement – work with HSBC colleagues across different business areas and learn how they collaborate.
