What you’ll do:
Wind Engineering Interns experience technically challenging, meaningful, and creative assignments. As an intern, you'll have the opportunity to work on one of a variety of high priority teams, including product design, systems, component design (such as towers, machine head, power conversion), controls and operability, advanced technology and manufacturing, testing and validation, aerodynamics, performance, quality, services, cost-out, and more.
Engineering Interns are the pipeline for the GE Vernova Wind Edison Engineering Development Program (EEDP). Wind EEDP graduates have the technical and business foundation to proactively and continually make creative contributions to GE Vernova's future. Interns who are eligible candidates (rising undergraduate seniors or graduating master’s candidates) will be able to interview for Wind EEDP while they are interns at GE Vernova. All internships will take place between May and August 2026.
What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications):
- Students must be currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in an engineering discipline as listed below from an ABET accredited university.
- Eligible Majors: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Controls Engineering. Other Engineering majors such as: Aero Engineering, Materials Engineering, Civil Engineering, or other Energy related majors will be considered.
- GPA greater than or equal to 3.0/4.0 overall without rounding
- Must have the ability to work in the US for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship

- Must be geographically mobile (Greenville, SC; Schenectady, NY; and Salem, VA). Relocation assistance provided.

The pay for this position ranges from $21.00/hr - $34.00/hr based on years of undergraduate /graduate field of study completed.
This position is also eligible for:
- Relocation Assistance: Co-op/Interns will be reimbursed for reasonable, proper, and documented expenditures incurred while initially reporting to work and returning to school/home upon completion of the assignment. Employees with a permanent address greater than 50 miles away from the work location are eligible.
- Housing Allowance: Co-op/Interns employees receive a weekly housing allowance to help off-set living expenses when the co-op/Intern’s permanent residence is at least 50 miles away from the work location.
- Employee Assistance Program, providing 24/7 confidential assessment, counseling and referral services
- GE Retirement Savings Plan (RSP) after their accumulated service reaches 90 days, and they meet any other eligibility requirements as defined in the plans. (Eligibility occurs on the 1st of the month following the 90th day.)
