We are seeking an exceptional Finance Data Analyst to join our Quality Assurance team. The teamโs mission is to safeguard the integrity and trustworthiness of Wise's financial records through rigorous oversight and innovative control systems.
We achieve this by streamlining and enhancing transactional financial controls on Customer Financials for BS and PnL ledger movements.
We work on multiple projects simultaneously, updating and building new reconciliations & models covering revenue and balance sheet movements to keep up with Wiseโs ever evolving product lines. We need to be agile, investigative & ready to jump at any moment from our planned work to diagnose new issues.
What youโll be doing
- Designing and building models, scripts and dashboards in Python, SQL & DBT to explain and control billions of pounds of transactions on a monthly basis, directly impacting Wiseโs financial accuracy
- Explaining what drives our finance general ledger entries, leveraging your abilities to investigate data and build reconciliations across systems that view transactions in different ways
- Contribute to the Quality Assurance analytics platform that forms the foundation of our control systems in collaboration with our dedicated engineering team
- Collaborating with a wide group of stakeholders, from Engineers and Implementation Managers, to Product teams to facilitate the integration of new products into finance systems and resolve complex issues that your models and controls identify
- Owning your domain and processes front to back, your decisions will help shape Wiseโs future
- Support area & regional controllers with data during audit reviews and address ad-hoc requests

Qualifications (A Bit About You)
- Strong analytical skills
- Expertise in SQL, (DBT & Snowflake is a bonus) with a willingness to learn Python
- Experience building and maintaining data pipelines
- Able to effectively communicate complex analytical and technical results to non technical stakeholders
- Passionate about Wise's mission and vision
- Able to work autonomously, take initiative, set own tasks and meet deadlines
- Desirable - Experience with Python, financial accounting, reconciliations, working in a fintech or other fast paced environment
- Flexible and able to work across multiple teams, offices, and time zones with a "can do" attitude
- Open to self-development and skill improvement
