The Springtown location plays an integral role in the manufacturing process of the group. The Global Accounting team partners with the wider finance team and other organizations to support Seagate globally. The successful candidate will play a key role in this growing team, supporting the inventory costing and warranty functions and collaborating with colleagues globally.  

About the role - you will:

•    Play a key role in the product costing accounting function within the global technical accounting team, supporting the accounting for product warranty and inventory globally.
•    Help to improve business processes in these areas, by taking ownership of the reporting and budgeting cycles and identifying process improvements where necessary.
•    Prepare and post monthly and quarterly journal entries and account reconciliations.
•    Complete management reporting, including reporting to senior leadership.
•    Adhere to tight reporting deadlines.
•    Prepare SOX control documentation for controls over warranty and inventory.
•    Ad hoc projects as required.
•    Any other duties in line with team responsibilities.

Your experience includes:

•    Qualified accountant (ACA or similar), with significant experience within a busy multinational organization or other busy finance environment.
•    High level of knowledge of key business tools, for example MS Office.
•    Experience in inventory or warranty accounting is strongly preferred.
•    Experience of operating within a SOX control environment is preferred but not essential.

You may also have:


•    A bachelor’s degree (which may be in a related field such as Accountancy, Finance or similar) and/or equivalent experience is strongly preferred

This is a Full-Time position working 39 hours per week. Hybrid work schedule. 3 days working in the office, 2 days working from home.
