AECOM is hosting an exclusive, invitation-only hiring event in New York, New York October 15-17. This is a great opportunity to learn and connect with AECOM for career opportunities starting Spring/Summer 2026.
The event kicks off on Wednesday evening with a networking mixer from 6-8 pm , where you can hear from AECOM staff about various projects, career paths, and the company itself. You’ll also have the chance to meet other students, recent graduates, and AECOM professionals from across our business lines.
On Thursday and Friday, interviews will take place at our New York office. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about and connect with AECOM for early career opportunities.
AECOM i s seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Structural Engineer to join our team in New York, New York. As a Structural Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and analyzing various structural systems for buildings and infrastructure projects.
This position is expected to begin in June 2026.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Perform structural analysis and design calculations for diverse projects
- Develop and review structural drawings and specifications using CAD software
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success
- Conduct site visits to assess existing structures and monitor construction progress
- Prepare technical reports and present findings to project managers and clients
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals and cost estimates
- Stay updated on industry standards, building codes, and emerging technologies
- Participate in quality control processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in structural engineering
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, RISA)
- Strong skills in AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Solid understanding of structural design principles and various construction materials
- Knowledge of building codes and standards
- Excellent mathematical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification preferred
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $80,000.00 - $84,000.00.
