AECOM's Boston architectural practice includes aviation, transit, research/science, higher education and federal/state/local government projects. It is a dynamic, fast-paced design environment, client-focused and collaborative. Recent projects are multiple-award winners. Application of technology for production efficiency and excellence in construction are important. Background in Revit, and/or interest in Dynamo, Rhino, Grasshopper, Adobe, Autodesk and AI are helpful as they are the foundation of our day-to-day production. We are regularly working with other practices in the East region and are home to the East design and urban design leaders. Supporting staff development on a path towards licensure is a priority.
Responsibilities may include:
- Working closely with a Senior Architect / Project Manager, independently prepare and present client-focused design solutions to project team members.
- Performing basic architectural calculations, concept design and detailing studies and/or preparing specifications, graphics, reports and related data tables.
- Applying code requirements to design.
- •Organizing deliverable packages.
- Writing meeting notes, memos, emails, and reports.
- Gathering and synthesizing technical data on materials.
- Executing field investigations, measurements, element identifications and translating to drawings.
- Maintaining RFI inventories, transmissions and schedules.
- May coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines - civil, structural, mechanical/electrical/plumbing, landscape design, urban design - and other departments participating on an assigned project.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch-up, or other 3D modeling software.
- Excellent communicator including the desire to ask questions and learn from co-workers.
- Ability to prioritize tasks with a commitment to completing tasks with urgency and within established deadlines.
- 365 apps such as Power Apps, Power Automate and SharePoint Design.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, Enscape, or other rendering software.
