Role Definition

This position will work in Caterpillar China R&D Center Electrification & Energy Solutions China team based in Wuxi or Qingdao, electrification is one of Caterpillar’s strategic technologies, and Caterpillar is accelerating electrification solution development in construction machinery, mining equipment and energy & transportation business. The electrification team in Caterpillar R&D center is part of Caterpillar global electrification team and responsible for e-powertrain system architecture development, system integration, battery design, motor and power electronics components design and charging solution development.

Responsibility:

The job will be related with following but not limited to:

‍
• E-powertrain requirements development based on machine performance requirements
基于整车的性能需求制定电驱动动力系统的需求
• E-powertrain system architecture concept design and evaluation
电驱动动力系统架构概念设计方案和评估
• Collaborate with battery, motor, power electronics team to define components requirements
与电池，电机和电力电子零部件工程师一起制订零部件的需求
• Collaborate with machine team for components on machine integration and installation design
与整车团队协作完成电驱动系统的零部件的集成和安装设计
• Develop e-powertrain system level lab and on machine validation plan
制订系统及相关零部件的实验室和样车测试计划
• Support machine test bed and pilot build
支持整车的样机的建造和小批量生产
• NPI issue resolution
开发过程中技术问题的分析解决

Job Requirements:

‍
• Master or Bachelor graduate, majoring in Electrical / Mechatronics/Electronics Engineering
硕士或者本科，电气工程，机械电子，电子通信工程相关专业
• Familiar with electric powertrain systems, motor design or power electronics solution design
熟悉电驱动动力系统，电机设计或者电力电子产品设计
• Good at Pro/E, ANSYS and related tools for motor design
熟练使用Pro/E, ANSYS 等相关的设计软件
• Good English skills and team player, Interested in new technology and self-motivated
有较好的英语能力， 乐于团队协作，主动积极，对新技术感兴趣
• Experience in electric drive systems or related component design are preferred
有电驱动系统或者相关零部件设计经验者优先
• Ability to effectively communicate in English in work environment, CET-6 preferred
良好的英语沟通能力，CET-6优先
• Good communication and project management skills
有较好的沟通能力和项目管理能力
• Strong initiative, communication, interpersonal, teamwork, learning skills
积极主动，良好的沟通，团队，学习能力
