As a Data Scientist supporting the Creator Content Engineering team, you will shape the future of Roblox’s creator ecosystem by bringing rigorous analysis, experimentation, and data engineering to some of the most strategic areas of the platform—including asset creation, music, and IP infrastructure. You will report to the Director of Data Science for Creation Products and you will partner closely with product and engineering leads to define success, design and evaluate experiments, and generate insights that directly inform product strategy and execution. You’ll also build and maintain the pipelines and dashboards that scale data access and ensure the team has the analytical foundations to make high-impact decisions at speed.
You will:
- Design, implement, and analyze A/B experiments and quasi-experimental studies to evaluate the impact of new product features and platform changes.
- Partner with product managers and engineering leads to define key success metrics, evaluate tradeoffs, and translate analytical findings into clear, actionable product recommendations.
- Build, maintain, and scale reliable data pipelines and dashboards to ensure accurate and timely visibility into team metrics and platform health.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses on creator behavior, asset usage, and platform dynamics to identify opportunities for product innovation and optimization.
- Leverage econometric techniques and machine learning methods to uncover deeper insights, measure causal impact, and generate strategic recommendations that guide product direction.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and other data teams to drive alignment on measurement strategy, data definitions, and analytical priorities.
- Communicate complex analytical findings clearly and persuasively to technical and non-technical stakeholders, enabling data-informed decision-making at all levels of the organization.
- Contribute to the design of scalable data and experimentation frameworks that support the growth of Roblox’s asset, music, and IP platforms.
- Act as a thought partner to leadership, helping to shape team strategy through data-driven insights and a deep understanding of creator workflows.
