Team :

Collaboratively work with client teams to provide advice and build relationships with existing and potential clients concerning general corporate broking matters and a range of activities including the raising of finance, mergers & acquisitions, and restructurings

Responsibilities:

·       Assist the client team in maintaining and further developing relationships with existing clients.

·       Assist in the preparation of client proposals / pitches.

·       Assist the client team in the successful execution of transactions for clients and potential clients (including the preparation and review transaction documentation).

·       Assist in the review of client communication with the market.

·       Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues and regulators as required.

·       Provide clients with advice on market and regulatory issues as required.

·       Assist client teams in providing advice to corporate clients on their relationships with investors and the market place,

·       Assist client teams to communicate with institutional investors regarding corporate clients (both in corporate broking ordinary course and in transactions).

·       Maintain up to date sector knowledge, market / industry practice and commercial awareness.

·       Understand Investec's broader capabilities.

·       Ensure communications with clients / intermediaries / business contacts are appropriately captured in the CRM.

·       Assist the PLC Advisory team in the timely maintenance of certain administrative responsibilities (such as standard pitch materials, transaction fee benchmarking, team agendas).

Core Skills & Knowledge :

·       Detailed, up to date and practical working knowledge of all applicable rules and regulations.

·       Acting with integrity at all times and embrace the philosophy of treating our clients and potential clients fairly.

·       Develop relevant market, sector and technical knowledge.

·       Strong understanding and preparation of financial analysis, valuation and modelling techniques.

·       Excellent knowledge of Power point, Excel and presentation solutions.

·       Effective internal / external client interaction (including with other advisors) for business generation and execution.

·       Ability to use the relevant IT applications.
