We are looking for a business insights analyst in our India Analytics team who will work with the AirCover Operations Team. The analyst must have functional expertise in building analytical solutions and be a trusted partner to product and business leaders, across marketplace teams through providing insights, recommendations, and enabling data driven decisions. This role will sit under the Business Insights family and support Product and Business leaders within our AirCover Operations.

A Typical Day:
- Execute projects with regular direction; providing constant updates to business stakeholders, analytics management and delivering against agreed timelines.
- Ensure the availability of data quality and data integrity for analysis and reporting, working closely with global operations and India analytics functions.
- Execute ad-hoc reporting, data investigations, uncover root causes, prioritize demands and identify opportunities for the business, considering the business needs and long-term goals and objectives.
- Understand and solve business problems within assigned scope using relevant analytical tools and techniques, including descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive analytics.
- Understand how to best measure the performance of Airbnb products and business through new metrics and dimensions.
- Present and drive ideations, solutions, and progress updates to the business stakeholders.
- Set a roadmap for projects up to a month ahead, after consulting with the team manager considering timelines and resources.
Your Expertise:
- 3+ years experience in an analyst role requiring data interrogation, analysis & storytelling.
- Advanced level proficiency in SQL & presentation tools like Google Slides, and PowerPoint.
- Intermediate level proficiency in Python/R, Tableau/Power BI.
- Intermediate level proficiency in ML techniques, cohort analysis, funnel analysis, segmentation, factor and sensitivity analysis, and statistical methods.
- Beginner level understanding of data warehouses/data lakes such as Presto, Hive, Teradata, Spark etc.
- Ability to handle complex datasets and conduct analysis to preemptively identify issues & surface actionable insights & recommendations to mitigate risk.
- Good communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with internal teams in a cross-cultural and cross-functional environment.
- Hands-on experience partnering with internal teams to drive action and providing expertise and direction on insights generation, root cause analysis, and metric measurement.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities, self-motivation and ability to work autonomously, taking ownership of projects and driving them to completion.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge and experience in Marketplace Operations and Insurance programs would be a plus
