What you’ll do
Here’s a taste of what you’ll work on:
- Get into the detail: Analyse complex financial data to inform big business decisions and boost performance.
- Improving efficiency: Spot opportunities to automate reporting with cutting-edge digital and AI tools.
- Making recommendations: Combine data and trends into reports and turn them into actionable suggestions.
- Collaborating: Work with teams across HSBC, supporting them on finance/balance sheet management, regulatory reporting, tax, and transformation projects.
- Shaping strategy: Apply your growing knowledge of finance to help guide HSBC’s future.
What you’ll learn
Over 10 weeks, you’ll join a specific finance team and see first-hand how business analysis drives decision-making at HSBC. You’ll get stuck in from day one, working on projects that have a real impact.
You’ll combine technical training, skills coaching, and hands-on work to build your confidence and capability. You’ll leave with an understanding of financial concepts, reporting, and market trends – and how they influence big business decisions.

Eligibility criteria
- Available to work full time for 10 weeks commencing June 2026
- Expected to graduate in 2027
- Obtained, or expected to achieve, a minimum 2:1 Degree classification or higher or overseas equivalent
- Fluent in English
