Aon placement students join several specialist teams focused on consulting with our clients on everything from setting investment strategies and selecting investment managers, to consulting on all aspects of environmental, social and governance; or working with pension scheme trustees to implement their long-term strategies efficiently and target better outcomes.
Join us as an investment consulting graduate in either our Defined Benefit (DB) Client Group or Defined Contribution (DC) Client Group, helping to advise our clients on everything from setting investment strategies and selection of investment managers to corporate transactions and transfers.
Whether you're interested in building client relationships, developing your analytical skills or leveraging new technologies, you’ll be welcomed into a supportive and actively inclusive environment, deliberately designed for you learn and grow. As an Aon placement student, each day is an opportunity to develop new skills and help shape the future of our industry.
During our Industrial placement programme, you will be enrolled onto our award-winning development programme, where over the 12 months, you will have the opportunity to take part in a wide range of insightful and interactive training and development activities in addition to your role. Here are couple of key elements of our development programme:
Our Placement programme is designed as a potential first step toward a long-term career with us. Your performance during your Placement may lead to an offer for a place on our graduate programme in the same business unit the following year. We encourage you to apply for a Placement that aligns with your long-term interests and career ambitions. By choosing a role that matches your aspirations, you’ll be better positioned to take full advantage of our Launch development programme, which offers comprehensive support for your professional qualification, a level 4 Diploma in Insurance from the CII (Chartered Insurance Institute), and ongoing career growth.
If you are interested in this programme and would like to apply, here is some useful information:
Please be aware for future opportunities, including graduate roles, applicants must have their own right to work within the UK where you can maintain and demonstrate your right to work throughout the duration of your employment. For temporary and permanent roles you’ll be asked to provide evidence of your right to work during the early stages of the application process.
We have graduate opportunities this year in the following locations:
Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds, Edinburgh or Glasgow (London is now closed, therefore future applications for London will be rejected)
We recognise the value for our Early Career colleagues of being in the office environment from the beginning of their programme. As a new graduate, you will spend the first 6 months based in the office to support your learning, development, and progression. This will enable you access to support from managers, collaborate with colleagues as well as grow your network across Aon. After completing this initial training period, you will then have the opportunity to work more flexibly, spending at least 3 to 4 days face to face in the Aon office or with clients.
We know applying for your first industrial placement role can be exciting, and sometimes a little daunting. At Aon, we’re committed to making our recruitment process as transparent and supportive as possible. Here’s how our selection journey works, and what you can expect at each stage:
1. Application Review
2. Online Assessment
3. Video Interview
