The candidate is responsible for supporting Innov8’s VC investment activities in the Asia Pacific region across strategically relevant tech sectors. The candidate will also support Innov8’s efforts in helping Singtel keep track of tech trends, adopt new innovative technologies and seek new growth opportunities.
Make an Impact by
- Support the investment team on venture capital investing activities, including research, scouting and sourcing deals, performing company due diligence and deal execution
- Support investment team in portfolio management activities, including monitoring portfolio performance, supporting companies in fund raising activities and championing the companies for commercial and business development opportunities across the Singtel Group
- Assist in scouting and tracking promising new inventions and technologies from around the world and formulating Innov8’s perspectives on the latest technology and trends
- Support the Innov8 team in preparing of monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc reports and presentations.
- Support the co-ordination of Innov8 activities (events, workshops, pitching sessions) and / or hosting of external parties such as other corporates, government agencies, industry players, IHLs etc.
Skills for Success
- Prior exposure to Southeast Asia start-up scene and corporate innovation activities is preferred but not a requirement.
- Strong interest in technology and innovation trends
- Strong business acumen and appreciation of financial models
- Excellent written & oral communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work with tight project timelines
- Ability to work independently while being a team player
