Work with end users to define requirements for new automation applications or enhancements to existing automation applications.
Work with IT Operations Support team for level 1 support training
Design and develop cost effective solutions to meet user requirements.
Document and deploy applications in a timely fashion.
Provide support for applications used in the factory operating in a 24x7 fast moving environment.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Experience in developing applications, including database and User Interface design for WPF and Windows Forms.
Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
Hands-on experience across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of Windows-based applications
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Team Collaboration: Proven ability to thrive in a collaborative team development environment.
Programming Expertise: Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio Development Suite, including C# and Team Foundation Server.
Industry Standards: Knowledge of SECS/GEM protocol or other industrial automation standards; manufacturing experience is a plus.
Database Skills: Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including writing stored procedures and LINQ.
Containerization & Orchestration: Experience with Docker, Kubernetes (kubeadm, kops, EKS, AKS, GKE), Helm, and service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd) is a plus.
DevOps & Security: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and secure software delivery.
Agile Development: Experience in continuous software delivery, automated testing, and agile project management.
AI/ML: Willingness to learn and explore AI, automation, and new technologies relevant to manufacturing.
KEY SKILLS
Written Communication: Ability to prepare clear requirements, design documents, test plans, and end-user documentation.
Verbal Communication: Good presentation skills for communicating requirements, designs, test plans, and project updates to peers and management.
