Waymo's Systems Engineering team works together to blend software and hardware systems in groundbreaking new ways. We set the high performance standards that ensure our vehicles run smoothly and keep passengers safe, then design and perform the tests that validate that performance. We're looking for talented teammates who’ll help us maintain strong teamwork and are passionate about driving results.
You will:
- Organize test campaigns to verify functionality of new features
- Write test plans and procedures and develop scripts to automate their execution and analysis
- Translate and validate actuator, vehicle, electrical, and motion control requirements through in-vehicle verification tests
- Lead issue and root cause identification efforts
You have:
- Currently pursuing an engineering degree or equivalent technical related experience
- Proactive, organized, and good collaboration skills
- Data analysis and test scripting/automation experience (e.g.
- C/C++, Python, Matlab/Simulink)
- Hands-on experience testing, troubleshooting or debugging complex electro-mechanical, software, or mixed systems
We prefer:
- Test planning and experimental design, especially designing for safety and repeatability
- Understanding of systems engineering principles such as formal verification and validation methods
- Experience with data acquisition skills
- Knowledge of control systems, dynamics or motion control
