Role and Responsibilities

Morgan Stanley's Financial Institutions Group (‘FIG’) covers a diverse set of clients including banks, insurance companies, financial technology (‘FinTech’) companies, asset managers, exchanges and hedge funds.  Financials represents ~20% of the S&P 500 and is the largest sector in the global economy, accounting for almost one third of global GDP.  As a result, the sector produces some of the largest and highest profile M&A and capital markets transactions. Morgan Stanley's Financial Institutions Group operates as a global team with approximately 170 Investment Bankers worldwide, allowing us to bring our clients global capabilities across the full spectrum of capital markets and M&A activities.

• Roles and responsibilities of a Summer Associate vary but may include: Managing and assisting in the execution of corporate finance transactions.
• Performing financial analysis, strategic business analysis and detailed industry research.
• Contributing to team discussions and client meetings.
• Preparing and delivering client presentations in a clear and compelling manner.

Qualifications and Skills

• You are an MBA or a J.D. student graduating between December 2026 and June 2027.
• You have at least two to three years of work experience (preferred).
• You can manage multiple projects, provide complicated financial analysis, and develop appropriate corporate finance solutions.
• You have excellent analytical and decision-making abilities.
