Comprising of 350 water science and engineering professionals our Sustainable Water Management teams work across a wide spectrum of services covering flood risk, water resources, hydrology, flood modelling, sustainable urban drainage, water quality, water EIA, hydromorphology, hydroecology and hydrogeology. Through our projects we provide high quality technical services and advice to a wide range of high-profile clients in the UK and overseas, including government departments and agencies, the water industry, and other industrial sectors, including power, transport, nuclear and mining.
Graduates are likely to be involved in a diverse range of projects across the UK water sector, such as:
Graduates in the Rivers and Coast team will be working in a supportive and innovative team, delivering engineering solutions to rivers and flood challenges around the UK. Previous graduates have worked on project such as the Kendal Flood Alleviation Scheme and East West Rail watercourse management
Effective stormwater and flood risk management reduces and mitigates the adverse impacts of population growth and urban development, which increase the amount of stormwater runoff and the level of pollutants this creates imbalance in watershed hydrology and ecosystems. Graduates will help clients define and respond to stormwater threats and develop management practices that address water quality issues. Our sustainable and environment-positive solutions manage and protect surface water resources for the long term.
You will be joining a supportive environment and enthusiastic team, providing you with a challenging and fulfilling career. In this team, you will be dealing with internal and external stakeholders and collaborating with colleagues and adapting to dynamic project environments.
