Finance protects the Morgan Stanley franchise by serving as guardian of the Firm's books and records. The division prepares financial and regulatory reports and maintains relationships with industry and firm regulators, serves as the conduit of financial information to the outside investment community. Finance plays a critical role as advisor to Morgan Stanley's various businesses and its senior management team.

The Finance Analyst Program offers an intensive hands-on introduction to Finance at Morgan Stanley. The Analyst will be rotating across teams during the first 2 years and work on a range of projects.

Training Program

‍
The Finance Analyst program includes a Firmwide orientation to Morgan Stanley's businesses and tailored training. Your training will continue throughout 2 years with a blended approach of structured learning and on-the-job training. You will have many opportunities to interact with peers from other Morgan Stanley divisions and senior colleagues through a series of networking, social, charity and mentoring events.

Key Responsibilities

‍
As a Finance Analyst, you will be placed into either the ISG Finance, Global Corporate Controller or other Finance areas as available in each respective year. Team placement will be determined based on a mutual fit, taking into consideration management decision, business needs, your skill set and interest.

Global Corporate Controllers & Planning (GCCP) is responsible for the financial and regulatory reporting of the consolidated Firm and its legal entities, accounting & regulatory policy and advisory, controllership of the Firm’s infrastructure areas and managing the Finance risk and change programs.

‍

Institutional Securities Group Finance (ISGF) ensures accuracy of the business units’ books and records, provides management reporting and analytics to the business units’ management teams, including budgeting, forecasting and profitability.
