Coinbase is looking for Strategic Sourcing Interns to join the Source to Pay (S2P) team next summer! The team serves as the face of the entire lifecycle including strategic sourcing, third-party risk management, procurement to pay (P2P), and travel & expense management. Our team handles Coinbase's third-party relationships, organizing them by technology or service. We're the main point of contact for our vendors and manage the internal Zip intake. We help with the category strategy set by the hiring manager for this role and know all our cross-functional partners well to keep things clear and open for everyone involved. We're great at supporting others efficiently while keeping Coinbase safe.
As a Summer Intern at Coinbase, you will have the opportunity to work on impactful projects that align with our mission to increase economic freedom in the world. You will work closely with our BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) team and other stakeholders to drive efficiency, innovation, and operational excellence. What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):
- Process Improvement & Automation: Collaborate with the BPO team to enhance processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose solutions leveraging automation or AI.
- Documentation Management: Ensure Desktop Procedures (DTP) and other written documentation are accurate, up-to-date, and complete. Proactively identify and flag gaps in information, demonstrating Clear Communication.
- Market Research: Assist in researching new providers and analyzing market trends to support strategic decision-making.
- RFP/RFQ Support: Contribute to the creation of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotes (RFQs), and assist in reviewing and analyzing vendor proposals.
- Vendor Relationship Management: Collaborate on managing vendor relationships to ensure seamless access to reports and empower self-service capabilities for routine tasks.
- Internal Marketing & Branding: Support internal branding efforts by developing training materials, creating short videos, and crafting social media posts to enhance team engagement and knowledge sharing.
