Currently enrolled in a U.S.-based accredited university pursuing an M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Applied Physics, or a related quantitative field

Your responsibilities
β
- Characterize active and passive photonic devices and integrated circuits
- Support test development and analyze measurement data to validate design performance
- Develop and optimize test approaches for both wafer-level and system-level photonic components
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design, modeling, and systems teams to co-develop photonic solutions

Your skills and experience
β
- Hands-on lab experience with optical testing, fiber-to-chip coupling, and design verification
- Programming skills in Python or C/C++
- Familiarity with optics simulation tools such as Lumerical
β
Preferred Skills:
β
- Experience in photonic integrated circuit (PIC) design, layout, and modeling
- Understanding of coherent optics or optical communication systems
- Experience with high-frequency/RF photonics modeling
- Familiarity with RF test equipment (e.g., VNAs, spectrum analyzers, AWGs)
