In this position...

This is a lead engineer role within the conveyors space in final assembly. This engineer is expected to have strong presentation skills and leadership skills to align both internal and external customers with the team's conveyor feas plans. Advanced Feas Conveyor engineer will have opportunities to present in front of leadership and influence strategies.

Responsibilities
What you'll do...

- Designing and engineering optimized conveyance layouts in Autocad for Final Assembly
- Performing detailed feasibility studies, working with simulation engineers, study engineers and process engineers to evaluate proposed designs and process changes, including assessing technical viability, cost-effectiveness, and potential risks
- Collaborating with tier 1 conveyor suppliers to align to Ford's BOP
- Manage and maintain conveyor checkbook; committing funding, ensuring invoices are submitted & maintaining checkbook cleanup
- Lead program/CAFM conveyor projects, run job and work with all stakeholders (plant, core, MPT, conveyor and construction suppliers) specifically at Dearborn Truck Plant
- Present to upper leadership/ management new conveyor layouts & plans for program review, cost reviews, standardization initiates, etc.

Qualifications
You'll have...

- Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent work experience.
- Final Assembly automotive experience
- strong communication skills
- strong organizational skills
- Familiar with 2D Autocad and 3D Teamcenter visualization
