Western Digital’s Internship offers students enrolled in Bachelor or Master programs for Mechanical & Chemical engineering / Science, AI / automation, and other quantitative fields an unparalleled opportunity to advance their research, working alongside semiconductor and storage experts, experienced industry scientists, and economists with both an industry and academic background.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As an intern, you will be a part of the Development Engineering department and engage in interdisciplinary research along with other disciplines such as:
- Product engineering
- Manufacturing operations
- Mechanical design
- Process Automation design or Industrial 4.0
Qualifications
REQUIRED
- Bachelor or Master programs for Mechanical & Computer Science, or other quantitative fields from a reputed university or research institution.
PREFERRED:
- Proficient in machine programming with a strong interest in deepening knowledge of automation, digitalization, and Industry 4.0.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Industrial Internship program min 12 weeks or more
SKILLS
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
- Knowledge of automation, robotics, and control systems.
- Knowledge in AI application - writing, image generation, coding tools
