The impact you’ll make
‍
At Lam, as an Assembler, you play a vital role in electronic, electron-mechanical, and mechanical product assembly on wafer fabrication equipment (WFE) in a lean manufacturing clean-room environment. You’ll use your insights, computer-based instructions, hand tools and fixtures to install parts and hardware. Your expertise ensures precise setup and adjustments, holding tolerances to specifications, and contributes to the quality of Lam's products.

What you’ll do
‍
- Effectively use instructions and schematics, hand tools, equipment, and fixtures to assemble and install parts/hardware for WFE.
- Demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness to changing priorities, including rework requirements to maintain workflow and production schedules.
- Ensure correct part delivery and perform visual inspection of components before installation.
- Contribute to audits by conducting visual inspections, verifying checklists, and performing leak checks as needed.
- Support a safe work environment by following safe work practices, adhering to safety guidelines, utilizing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and following Lockout Tagout (LOTO) policies and procedures.
- Provide timely clear communication to stakeholders including production status, tasks completed, signoffs, detailed descriptions, continuous improvement ideas, and shift pass downs.

Who we’re looking for
‍
- 1-2 years of mechanical or related assembly experience.
- Associates Degree, Technical Certificate, or Diploma in Engineering or related field.
- Effective communication skills, written and verbal, in English.
- Able to work 12-hour shifts in fast paced and time-sensitive environment.
- Proficiency in computer-based data systems, applications, and Microsoft Office software.
- Proficient use of a variety of hand tools and electronic equipment for assembly and maintenance tasks.
- Frequently position oneself (e.g., bend, stoop, reach, walk, sit, twist, squat, kneel, climb, stand) to perform job tasks including: moving parts and equipment weighing up to 35 pounds; operating various hand tools, equipment, and fixtures.
- Distinguish various wires by color, size, thickness, markings, etc.

Preferred qualifications
‍
Experience working in a manufacturing environment or in semiconductor capital equipment industry is nice to have.
